It's been a long time coming to finally get some music up on this web
site. So I hope you will enjoy this 1st of many efforts.TALK!'s Song History
This song was written by
Rik Shannon & Steve Bonino at Bratman Studio about 4 years ago. I
(Rik) was just starting to pick up the bass guitar (left handed, of
course), the first thing I do with some new instrument is to try & create
something with it. So, I came up with this drum beat and bass line for a
song. Bonino came over and put quitar to my bass meanderings and I came up with the title/chorus
riff of "Talk Talk we never Talk...We just scream at each other...blah
blah..." 'Boninowitz' in his infinite lyric prowess; (we
get some of our best lyric ideas with Bonino just singing off the top of
his head) really liked the 'Talk' thing, and so when he came
back over a couple of days later (for a songwriting session) he
informed me he had _FINISHED THE LYRICS!_ Well, our songwriting style
is much like calling "SHOTGUN" to get the front seat! And so he got
to the lyrics first. And they're darn good, too. And so it goes....
